Belly Bandit update (I)
I don’t wear it 24/7, and I’m not skinny yet, but it has definitely shrunk down my belly enough that I think I’m not mistaken for pregnant anymore. I’m in my second week of wearing it, and today I’ll order the next size down to see if I can eek anymore inches off my waist before I hit six weeks.
I do notice some fleshy sticking out of the wrap on my upper back, and I have a hard time getting it to stay on my hips. Doing a ton of tugging to cover my muffin top area. Either I’m wearing it too tight, or I need a smaller size (which I’m buying in the name of science, naturally).
The primary benefit for me is the extra support it’s giving me in my core. I feel like I’m at way less risk for injury by way of tightly wrapping my post-partum belly. For that reason alone I think it’s worth trying.
Usually I don’t wear it to bed, but occasionally I do. The website says you’re supposed to wear it constantly, and perhaps I’d get better results if I did, but I like having some naked tummy time with my baby.
Have you used a Belly Bandit? Will you share your experience?
Ya know how I know she’s the one? I’ve got 8 pillows on my bed, I can only use 1, and that doesn’t bother me.
Found a whole series of sexy anime preggos at Deviant Art.
Morning Sickness is getting me down.
Now. I know I have it pretty good on the morning sickness front. I haven’t lost any weight because of it and I’ve never once barfed my brains out in the mornings because of it. But I have extreme nausea some days. Usually, I eat, and it goes away. But today, I just feel awful. So awful that I nearly chucked in a trashcan in the middle of a busy street. They say morning sickness comes back with a vengeance in week nine, they were right. I have not felt this awful since….well, Wednesday to be exact. I don’t know which I prefer, morning sickness or night sickness, because in weeks 7 and 8 I had night sickness way worse.
All I can do is sit here and hope like hell that the next three weeks pass me by without too much more of this. Next Tuesday I will be ten weeks, and hopefully I get to see my ultrasound then.
Anyone have morning sickness tips for her?
Trying to figure out how I might make this work with my giant baby belly. Elastic waistband is a promising start…

A maybe-possibly maxi skirt that’s maternity and non-maternity appropriate? Just say yes to the drawstring & elastic waistband…. avail at Intermix.
The current discourse surrounding young motherhood is both stigmatizing and insensitive, and presents young motherhood as a problem in itself as opposed to the real problems that often surround it.

I like this BCBG dress for non-maternity maternity, but wish it wasn’t rayon.
I love this look for preggos. Totally rewearable post-partum, too. #leggings #sweaterdress
